Parent Testimonials

"We found out about Monsters hockey from Coach Nikki, whom we had as a coach for U12 WEHL. My daughter played U12 Girls Monsters as it was a great way to reconnect with some of the girls she met in WEHL. The focus is having fun while also working on skills. There isn't tryouts, it's more looking for players who are a good fit for the team, who also have a great attitude. My daughter made many new, lasting relationships with the girls on her Monsters team. It's such a great way to play with girls from surrounding communities (and for us, meeting some of the girls she will play with in high school). We love running into these girls at the rink during our regular season and getting a chance to catch up. We usually had 2 practices a week and we had a couple fun filled weekends at tournaments in Chicago and Minneapolis. My daughter had so much fun at the practices and tournaments. I was surprised how many players from our association played for Monsters, including a few of her teammates (she plays co-ed in regular season). I often see her teammates wearing their Monsters jerseys proudly during our practices. Monsters was a great experience for us and we plan to return!"

"Our first season with the Monsters was a great experience. Our son learned a lot and it really carried over to his regular season. The coaches were very knowledgeable and had amazing team communication"

“After many frustrating experiences with spring hockey around Madison, we were overjoyed with our inclusion for last year’s inaugural Monsters season. With a skater on each of the 2011 and U18 teams, we were left very impressed by the professionalism of the organization, the quality of coaching, and how the teams were built around skill but also personality and coachability. It was one of our family’s best youth hockey experiences and one we would highly recommend.”

Graeme and Brady Rettig both were lucky enough to participate with the Monsters this past spring as well as fall. The coaching was superb, and the tournament play was exceptional and valued by all the kids on the team. Graeme and Brady still talk daily with their Monsters teammates and have made friendships for a lifetime. The Monsters were the perfect choice for the Rettig boys, and they are so glad that they had the opportunity! The boys cannot wait for the spring!
